Steve graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts from the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon. After graduation he continued his education in San Francisco where he interned with Chef Roland Passot at the renowned La Folie Restaurant. While in San Francisco he baked bread for the Bay Bread Boulangerie and even rolled sushi at the M Point Sushi Bar under Sushi Chef Takeshi-san. Upon returning to Montana, Steve obtained the position of Pastry Chef at The Timbers Moonlight Basin Ski Resort at Big Sky, Montana. During his three years at The Timbers, he spent his off seasons gaining experience in large scale catering by working with a professional catering company in Los Angeles that included catering for the cast and crew of Terminator3. Most recently he has been volunteering his time and expertise organizing and catering for the Bioneers Conference in Bozeman, Montana. The conference was Steve's second year serving over 600 meals during the three day event. |
